TOURIST ATTRACTIONS
Barletta, the "City of Challenge", is an important cultural town; in fact, you can visit many monuments, churches and old-aristocratic buildings among the most famous ones of Apulia, such as: the Castle, where it is preserved the only statue in the world of Svevian Emperor, Frederick II, the "De Nittis" picture-gallery, the Romanesque-Gothic Cathedral, the Santo Sepolcro Basilica, the medieval church where crusades started from, the colossus "Eraclio" (Roman Emperor statue), the Curci Theatre, the Cantina della Disfida and so many other monuments and churches.

Barletta is even an important marine destination, thanks to its wide beaches of sand; there are many shores and it's possible to practise aquatic sports.

Barletta is very close to some famous touristic towns and places, such as: Castel del Monte (Unesco heritage), Canne della Battaglia (archaeological area), Trani, Bisceglie, margherita di Savoia (famous for salt production and thermal baths), San Giovanni Rotondo (Padre Pio's town), Alberobello (Trulli - Unesco heritage) and Matera (the Sassi town - Unesco heritage).
